Consultancy
Home buyers, mortgage and insurance.
A tree report that tells you what the trees near a property are, how healthy they are, and what they are likely to need.
When you might need one
- You are buying a property with large trees in or near the garden
- A lender or insurer has asked about trees close to a building
- A neighbour's tree overhangs your property, or yours overhangs theirs
- You are selling, and want to answer buyers' questions about the trees before they ask
What the report covers
- The species, size and condition of each tree that matters
- How close each tree is to the building and to boundaries
- Whether the tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order or stands in a conservation area
- Any safety concerns, and the work needed now or in the future
- Plain recommendations you can pass to a solicitor, lender or insurer
What it does not cover
Our report is about the trees. If there is a question about the building itself, such as cracking or movement, that is for a structural engineer or surveyor. We can work alongside them and give them the tree information they need.
Tell us when the report is needed, as property sales often run to a tight timetable.
